Burglars Steal Car After Threatening Owner

Three masked burglars have threatened the occupants of a house in Lutterworth with a knife, crowbar and baseball bat before stealing a high-powered car from the driveway.

They forced their way into the property on Hill Drive through a rear patio door at around 8.15pm on Sunday, before demanding the keys to the grey Audio RS6, which they then drove off in the direction of Lutterworth Road.

Police are appealing for sightings of the car – which had a private registration plate.

Detective Constable James Collins, the investigating officer, said: “This appears to have been a completely unprovoked incident where the occupants of the house have been threatened in their own home

“It’s believed that the men drove off in the direction of Lutterworth Road immediately after leaving the scene. The car that was taken – a grey Audi RS6 – has a private registration plate and would therefore probably stand out to many people.

“I’m therefore appealing for anyone who has seen a car that they believe may be the one that was stolen to come forward. Any information you have, no matter how insignificant you think it may be, could help with my investigation.”
