A burglar who targeted several shops in Market Harborough town centre has admitted two more offences.

Damion Maloney appeared at Leicester Magistrates’ Court and pleaded guilty to breaking into the Nathan Smith Tattoo Studio in Manor Walk during a series of smash and grab raids on June 4th and Synergy Dancewear on St Mary’s Road on June 23rd.

Glass in front doors were smashed at both the shops

Items were stolen from Synergy Dancewear, while it is believed nothing was taken from the tattoo studio.

The 48-year-old, whose address was given a Leicester Prison, had already pleaded guilty to three other burglaries in Market Harborough.

Maloney previously admitted stealing cash from the Windowsill houseplant shop on Roman Way, as well as stealing cash and a laptop from Lilybelle Beauty and Nails on St Mary’s Road and items from clothing store Bebooted in Church Square.

The Lilybelle and Bebooted break-ins also happened early on June 4th and involved glass doors being smashed to gain entry. CCTV captured some of the raids.

Maloney will be sentenced for all five burglaries at Leicester Crown Court later this month.
