Bid To Tackle Off-Road Motorbike Problems In Desborough

Police have pledged to deal with people riding off-road motorbikes illegally in Desborough.
Residents are raising issues daily about them being ridden dangerously on roads and pavements.
Northamptonshire Police say three ‘Section 59 warnings’ have been issued to riders stopped on the Grange Estate in the past week and if they are stopped again their bikes will be seized and crushed.
The force has recently launched a new ‘Off-Road Bike Squad’ to help tackle problems across the county.
Officers have been equipped with eight specialist Yamaha motorbikes as part of the move.
