The Department For Transport is being asked to provide cash to improve cycle storage facilities at Market Harborough Railway Station.
East Midlands Railway has submitted a bid to set-up a ‘Cycle Hub’ which would provide around 100 extra spaces for cycles.

The facility would also offer secure, covered storage and be monitored by CCTV.
It is understood the bid is in the region of £150,000 and Harborough Council has also allocated £30,000 towards the facility, if it is successful.
People who use cycles to get to and from trains say the current facilities outside the front of the station are not good enough.
