Lloyds Bank is reassuring customers the closure date of its branch in Market Harborough has not changed after the premises started to be marketed.
The three-storey grade-two listed building at the corner of Church Square is being advertised on property websites and is up for rent at a cost of just under £80,000 per year.
A spokesperson for Lloyds told HFM: “There is no update to the closure date of 4th December 2024 for the Market Harborough Lloyds Bank branch.”

Agents marketing the premises say it will offer retail space of over 4,000 sq ft.
The forthcoming closure is being blamed on customers turning to on-line and mobile banking, instead of visiting he branch in-person, although some told HFM they rely on the branch to conduct their banking.
It will be the fourth bank to close in the town in two years and Lloyds has also applied for planning permission to remove the ATM from the building when it shuts.
