Bank holiday opening times at local tips

If you’re planning to take your household waste to the tip over this
busy May Bank Holiday weekend, you’re being urged to check opening hours
before you set off.

Leicestershire County Council expects its waste and recycling sites to
be extremely busy throughout the whole three days.

The authority says it has provisions in place to deal with extra demand
but has warned that difficulties in recruiting staff, along with
COVID-19 infection and illness, could lead to unplanned changes.

Market Harborough will be open as normal on Bank Holiday Monday,
however, the Lutterworth site will be closed because of staff shortages.

Kibworth waste site remains shut until late autumn, as it undergoes a
major refurbishment.
