Three Bailed After Disturbance At Travellers’ Site

Three people have been released on bail after being arrested following a disturbance at a travellers’ site in Desborough yesterday morning.
Officers received reports a caravan had been deliberately set on fire, allegedly after a petrol bomb was thrown at it, during an altercation at Spinney Close, off Braybrooke Road at 12.45am.

The fire service also attended and the Police Helicopter was scrambled to assist officers on the ground.
A 44-year-old man from Desborough, was questioned on suspicion of attempted murder, and a 22-year-old man, of no fixed address, but from the Wellingborough area, on suspicion of arson.
A woman, aged 23, from Desborough, was also arrested on suspicion of arson.
Northamptonshire Police say all have been released on bail, pending further enquiries.
No-one was injured in the incident.
