Authority to consult residents.

Leicestershire County Council has pledged to talk to local residents
before deciding on proposed cuts to services.

It’s looking at a gap between income and expenditure of around 28
million pounds next year due to rising inflation and other factors.

Areas such as gritting, street lighting, school crossing patrols,
subsidised bus services and libraries could all see cutbacks.
