Arrests After Firework Thrown Into Supermarket

Two 17 year old boys have been arrested after a firework was let-off in the foyer of Sainsbury’s in Market Harborough.

They have been questioned on suspicion of throwing a firework in a public place, following the incident just after 8pm on Saturday, November 9th.

The teenagers have been released on bail as Police enquiries into the incident continue.

Officers, who launched an appeal for information earlier this week, say although a number of people were in the area of the supermarket at the time, including young children, no-one was hurt, but minor damage was caused to an area of the supermarket.

They are still appealing for witnesses
