Arrest After Reports of Person on Tracks Near Market Harborough Station

A woman has been arrested following reports of a person on the tracks near Market Harborough railway station.
British Transport Police said the 27-year-old was arrested on suspicion of trespass after officers were called to an area of the line close to the station this morning.
Train services in the area were halted while emergency services responded to the incident.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “We were called to an area of the line close to Market Harborough station shortly after 10am this morning (2 June) following reports of a person on the tracks.
“Officers attended and a woman was arrested on suspicion of trespass.”
