Appeal After Unprovoked Attacks

Two young men have been injured after separate unprovoked attacks in Market Harborough last night.

The first happened on Coventry Road, near the Spar shop, at around 9.50pm, when the 19 year old victim was punched in the face, leaving him with a facial injury.

Then just after 10pm, a man in his 20s was assaulted near the Sainsbury’s petrol station on Springfield Street.

He was punched several times to the face and suffered facial injuries and bruising.

Police say both victims were also left shaken.

On both occasions the attackers, who were three men, pulled up alongside them in a van, got out and assaulted them.

Police are appealing for witnesses – if you can help call 101, quoting incident number 656 of 9/12 for the Coventry Road assault and incident number 678 of 9/12 for the Springfield Street assault.
