Appeal After Motorcyclist Dies In Crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist died in Swinford on Saturday.

The man in his thirties – who was riding a black Aprilia bike – was pronounced dead at the scene after crashing on Stanford Road, close to Lilbourne Lane at around 4.30pm.

No other vehicles were involved.

Detective Constable Louise McMahon is investigating the collision and appealing for witnesses.

She said: “At the time of the collision, the motorcyclist was travelling southbound towards Stanford.

“I would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or saw the motorcycle beforehand to get in touch.

“I’d also like to speak to anyone who may have captured anything related to the incident on their dash cam or CCTV.”
