A motorcyclist has died after a crash with a car near Lutterworth.
The man, aged in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision on Peatling Road, near Peatling Parva.
Police say his black Royal Enfield motorcycle was involved in collision with a red Volvo XC40 just before 9am.
An appeal for witnesses has been launched.
Detective Sergeant Jon Putnam, from Leicestershire Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our investigation is very much in its early stages and I would like to speak to anyone who was travelling along Peatling Road this morning – particularly any motorists with a dashcam in their vehicle.
“I would also like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or saw either vehicle prior to it occurring.
“Any details you’re able to provide could assist with our enquiries.”
Peatling Road/Ashby Road between the villages of Peatling Parva and Ashby Magna remains closed as investigations into the collision continue.
No arrests have been made.
