Appeal After Illegal Street Racing on A6 Bypass

Police are appealing for dashcam footage after illegal street racing on the A6 bypass between Kibworth and Great Glen last night.
A large crowd gathered on both sides of the road to watch, with reports of vehicles travelling at high speed.
Officers were called just before 9.30pm after receiving several calls from concerned motorists.

Leicestershire Police say two drivers were given Section 59 warning notices, used when a vehicle is driven in an anti-social manner.
Officers are asking anyone who witnessed offences or captured footage on dashcams or mobile phones to come forward.
The stretch of the A6 has become a regular location for such car meets.
