Police have recovered stolen items worth thousands of pounds after burglars smashed their way into a shop in Market Harborough town centre early this morning.
Officers were called to Armcandy Bag Co in Adam and Eve Street just after 3am, when two people were seen breaking-in and stealing stock.
They left the scene in a car which failed to stop for Police on the A6, before crashing into a hedge near Kibworth.
The suspects then fled on foot and have not yet been traced, although stolen bags and other items were found in the car, found to have false number plates.
