‘Appalling’ Theft Of Hanging Baskets

Two large hanging baskets planted by Market Harborough in Bloom have been stolen.

They were taken within a couple of hours of being delivered to the rear of Denise’s Hair Fashions on The Square this morning, ahead of being put up at the front of the building, shared with the PDSA charity.

The salon’s owner Denise Kennedy said she is appalled by the theft and is urging anyone with information to come forward.

The hanging baskets had been nurtured by volunteers for the past few weeks and were left at the back of the premises accessed via Factory Lane.

They are distinctive as were in large ‘commercial-style’ green plastic planters with water reservoirs and were to form two of six hanging baskets to be placed outside business premises in the town centre, ahead of judges from the East Midlands in Bloom competition visiting later this month.
