Anti-Vax Activists Condemned For Targeting WW1 Memorial In Fleckney

Anti-vax activists are being condemned for sticking posters to a World War One memorial in Fleckney.
The ‘Tommy’ soldier silhouette was targeted outside the village library.
Volunteers who run the library say the act was ‘most disrespectful’ and Harborough MP Neil O’Brien says those responsible should be ashamed of themselves.

The posters stuck on the memorial contained various details linked to Covid anti-vaccination sentiments, claiming to provide information on how to apply for money from the government for health damages after having a vaccine.
Each poster also displayed a different photograph of a person who had allegedly died after having a Covid-19 vaccine.
Library staff have been able to remove the posters. with no lasting damage caused to the structure.
The memorial soldier was erected by Fleckney Parish Council in 2018, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of World War One and to pay tribute to the soldiers who lost their life during the conflict.
