Action Demanded Over Severn Trent Water Leaks

The water company serving Harborough is losing more than a bath full of water per house per day due to leaks.
Today the boss of Severn Trent Water is meeting the Environment Secretary after being summoned by Micheal Gove to explain why the firm has missed targets to stop them.
Latest figures show 431.6m litres of water a day is being wasted because of leaks.
The company says it’s committed to reducing the problem and is spending tens of millions of pounds putting monitors in pipes so it can react more quickly.
