A sprinkling of good news!

Water companies serving the HFM Region are saying they still have no plans to impose hosepipe bans, despite drought conditions officially being declared.

Both Severn Trent and Anglian Water say although the region is experiencing its driest period in a century, they are confident such a measure won’t be necessary.

Water levels in reservoirs have fallen over the past few weeks, but not by concerning amounts.

However, both firms are urging us to do all we can to conserve water, like having shorter showers and not having a bath and using a bucket and sponge to wash cars instead of a jet-wash.
