Hundreds Attend Illegal Rave Near Great Bowden

Around 500 people attended an illegal rave in a disused mushroom farm near Great Bowden in the early hours of yesterday.
It took place in abandoned curved-roof sheds at the site on Welham Lane.
Police were alerted at 12.45am and when officers arrived they used powers to prevent further people from getting to the site, and then remained there to monitor the situation.
The Police helicopter was also scrambled to the scene, as well as the Fire Service as a precaution.
One man was arrested for a public order offence – the partygoers had all left by 2pm
There have been three raves on the site in the past two years.
