Gritters Drafted In To Stop Roads Melting

It’s the middle of a heatwave, but gritters are out on Leicestershire’s roads!
They’ve been drafted in to spread granite on ones which are in danger of melting because of the continued hot temperatures.
Those in exposed areas or that have been recently resurfaced are getting the treatment.
They include Medbourne Road in Hallaton, Brookfield Way in Kibworth, Walcote Road in South Kilworth and Bath Lane in Bruntingthorpe.
