One of those taken to hospital has since been discharged, while a fourth man was able to walk away from the scene.
The pedestrians had been crossing Vaughan Way at a crossing towards the junction with Highcross Street when they were struck by a silver vehicle.
The driver failed to stop at the scene.
Lutterworth Town FC says its thoughts are with all four players and their families and friends.
In a statement, the club said: “Our thoughts and heartfelt love are with the four Lutterworth Town FC players involved in the serious incident in Leicester city centre on Saturday night.
“Everyone connected with the club — players, management, committee members and supporters — sends their love and best wishes to all four players, as well as their families and friends during what will undoubtedly be a difficult and worrying time.
“We wish each of you a speedy and full recovery and look forward to seeing you all back with the Lutterworth Town family when the time is right.
“Stay strong, lads. The whole club is behind you.”

Two crowdfunding appeals have also been launched to support players and their families while they recover.
One appeal says Ryan is unable to work for a number of weeks or months because of his injuries and is facing difficulties paying bills and supporting his two-month-old baby.
Another appeal says Guy has suffered extensive injuries and faces a long recovery. It says he is self-employed and has a young family, while also describing him as a dedicated girls’ football coach who has supported others in the community.
A 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving while over the prescribed limit for alcohol and causing grievous bodily harm. He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.
Police say a vehicle believed to have been involved has been identified and enquiries are continuing.
