Recycling Centre shut due to pressure

Lutterworth Recycling Centre will remain closed until further notice because of pressure on waste facilities.

Leicestershire County Council says two treatment sites it relies on can no longer accept more material, following high demand, closures and fires elsewhere in the sector.

The Moorbarns Lane site has been shut since August the seventh.

Residents are being directed to other recycling centres, including Market Harborough and Kibworth.
