Harborough Local Plan examination begins

The independent examination of Harborough District Council’s proposed Local Plan begins today.

The Local Plan will set out planning policies and guide future development across Harborough district until 2041.

It will consider whether the plan should be examined against the December 2023 National Planning Policy Framework under transitional arrangements.

Further examination sessions are planned for the weeks beginning 9, 23 and 30 November.

The council says the consultation period has now ended, and no further submissions are being invited unless specifically requested by the Planning Inspectors.

Members of the public are being encouraged to watch proceedings online because space in the council chamber is limited.
