Desborough’s Bruce Dee looks ahead after Commonwealth Games bronze

Desborough para swimmer Bruce Dee is already looking ahead to his next major competitions after winning a bronze medal for Team England at the recent Commonwealth Games.

He reached the podium in the swimming competition in Glasgow and says he was also delighted to see fellow Desborough athlete Lauren Mackie claim bronze in boxing.

The result adds another major achievement to Bruce’s growing sporting career, with the swimmer now turning his attention to his next competitions, including hoping to make the TeamGB squad for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Los Angeles in 2028.

His bronze medal was one of Team England’s successes at the championships, while Lauren’s medal also marked a proud moment for the Desborough community.
