Cars Stolen During Burglary Recovered Near Market Harborough

Police are appealing for information after two cars were stolen during a burglary in Dingley and later found abandoned near Market Harborough.

The burglary happened at a house on Church Lane between around 8pm on Monday (August 3rd) and 5.50am on Tuesday.

Northamptonshire Police says offenders drilled through the back door lock to gain access to the property while the occupants were inside.

Once inside, the offenders took keys for two vehicles from the kitchen before driving away from the address.

The vehicles, a Volkswagen Golf R and a Volkswagen e-Golf, were later found abandoned and recovered by Leicestershire Police on the A6 just outside Market Harborough.

No arrests have been made and enquiries are on-going.

Police are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area, including any people or vehicles, to come forward.
