Plans For New Homes In Fleckney Thrown Out

Plans for 130 new homes on the edge of Fleckney were thrown out by councillors last night.
They refused permission for the development on land east of Fleckney Road on the Saddington side of the village, on the grounds it would harm the landscape and impact the surrounding countryside.
Fleckney Parish Council spoke out at the Harborough Council planning committee, saying the number of homes is too great, and infrastructure like roads will struggle to cope.
