Government To Decide On Magna Park Expansion

Developers have launched a bid to overturn the refusal of their plan for a massive extension of Magna Park.

IDI Gazeley, which owns the huge logistics site near Lutterworth, has lodged an appeal to the government against Harborough Council’s decision to reject a major expansion.

The proposal has been bitterly resisted by campaigners through a complex planning process, which saw the council’s planning committee approve the development, only for that decision to be overturned when it was called in to be considered by the entire council in January.
