Driver charged after A14 police pursuit near Rothwell

A man has been charged following a police pursuit on the A14 near Rothwell.
Northamptonshire Police say the driver of an Audi RS3 failed to stop when officers from the Roads Policing Team tried to pull the car over.
Officers say a brief high-speed pursuit followed before the vehicle was brought to a tactical stop.

The 25-year-old driver was arrested at the scene and the vehicle was seized.
He has since been charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, driving without insurance, and driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
The man is due to appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court next month.
