Community groups share £3,000 boost from Lions Club awards

Ten community groups making a difference in and around Market Harborough have received a share of £3,000.

The grants were awarded by the Market Harborough Twenty 12 Lions Club as part of its Community Awards Scheme, with a presentation ceremony held to recognise the successful groups.

Each organisation received funding to support their work in the local area, with the Lions Club highlighting the importance of backing voluntary and community projects.

The grants were presented by Cllr Buddy Anderson, chairman of Harborough District Council, who was the guest of honour at the presentation event.

The Community Awards Scheme is now in its third year and continues to offer financial support to local groups through annual grants.
