New Policing Commander Takes Over In Harborough Area

The Harborough area has a new policing commander.
Inspector Chris Day, who has 22 years’ policing experience, has taken over responsibility for the Market Harborough and Wigston Neighbourhood Policing Area from Inspector Liz Perry, who has moved to a new role after three and a half years.

Insp Day, who lives locally, says he is looking forward to meeting residents, colleagues and partners, and finding out what matters most to the community.
He will also be spending time out on the beat and spoke to HFM’s Nick Shaw about his new position:

Insp Day has taken over from Insp Liz Perry
His predecessor, Inspector Perry, said she is proud of the strong partnership working developed during her time in the role, particularly around safeguarding and protecting vulnerable people.
John Richardson, Chief Executive of Harborough District Council, praised her work and says he is looking forward to working with Inspector Day.
