Charity Shop To Close in Market Harborough

Another long-standing charity shop in Market Harborough is set to close.
The PDSA says it has been unable to agree a new lease on its premises on The Square, where it has been based since 2014.
The charity, which helps pet owners with vet bills, has not confirmed a closing date but says it will shut later this year.

It follows the closure of the Cancer Research shop in the town earlier this month.
Acting Head of Retail at the PDSA, Neil Squire, said: “We know it’s disappointing for our team and the local community when a shop closes, and it’s never an easy decision. Unfortunately, we have been unable to agree a new lease with the landlord, and as a result we will be closing this location.
“We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who supports our shops – whether that’s volunteering, donating, or shopping with us. The money raised helps us care for sick and injured pets through our veterinary services, offering free and low-cost treatment to people who need it most.
“At the moment we don’t have any details on timings for the closure, but we will be sure to keep our community updated.”
