Water Supply Problems Hit Desborough Again

Written by on 9th April 2026

Parts of Desborough are experiencing water supply issues for the second time in just over a week.

A fault with a pump is being blamed for the problem, leaving households and businesses with very low water pressure – or no water at all.

The issue is affecting the Braybrooke Road and Harborough Road areas, including the Grange estate.

Anglian Water has issued an apology and hopes to resolve the problem by later this afternoon.

A spokesperson said: “We’re really sorry, but some customers in Desborough may have either very low water pressure or no water at all.

“This is being caused by a problem with one of our pumps that push water around the network.

“Based on the latest information available, we’re aiming to have everything back to normal by 4pm.”

Last Monday’s outage in Desborough and nearby villages was caused by a water main on Rothwell Road being damaged by a third party.
