Cannabis Factory Worth Over £1m Found During Police Raid

Police have uncovered a huge cannabis factory in an industrial unit in Lutterworth, seizing more than 1,600 plants worth over £1 million.
Officers discovered the sophisticated set-up after executing a warrant at premises on Leicester Road on Wednesday.
Two men who initially tried to flee the scene were arrested.

The building had been vacant since a tool hire company moved out.
Leicestershire Police said targeting sites like this is vital, as the profits are often used to fund organised crime, while illegal electricity bypassing can also pose a serious fire risk to nearby properties.
They are urging anyone with information to come forward, adding that even small details can help build the bigger picture.
