Firefighters Free Trapped Person After Crash

Firefighters helped free a person trapped in a car following a crash near Rushton last night.
Emergency services were called to Desborough Road shortly after 7pm following a collision involving two cars – a Nissan Juke and Vauxhall Mokka.
A spokesperson for Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Using special cutting equipment, crews from Kettering and Desborough worked with East Midlands Ambulance Service to release a person trapped in one of the vehicles, who was then taken to hospital.”
Northamptonshire Police say no serious injuries were reported.
The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident and the vehicles were recovered.
