Councillor Reveals Motor Neurone Disease Diagnosis

Harborough district councillor Dr Paul Bremner has recently been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

The Conservative member for Logan Ward in Market Harborough shared the news at a council meeting this week, to further raise awareness of the muscle-wasting disease.

Speaking to HFM, Paul, 57, said: “It came as a shock diagnosis following a hospital stay in mid-October but the one thing front of my mind is to remain positive, prayer-filled and keeping things as normal as possible, for as long as possible.

“The support, post diagnosis, from the NHS has been great, including specialist MND Nurses.

“I am certainly not alone in this diagnosis, nationally and here in Market Harborough, and for us all the MND Association, including specialist MND nurses, have been so helpful”
