New Banking Hub Officially Opened

Written by on 12th December 2025

Market Harborough’s new Banking Hub has been officially opened in St Mary’s Place.

MP Neil O’Brien cut the ribbon on the hub’s new permanent home in the town centre earlier today.

The hub has relocated from the Symington Building, where it had been operating on a temporary basis since earlier this year following the closure of the town’s last remaining bank branch.

The facility offers counter services and access to community bankers from major banks on rotating days, providing face-to-face support for residents and businesses.

Neil was joined at the opening by staff, officials from Cash Access UK, Post Office and Cllr Peter James, Chairman of Harborough District Council.
