Christmas Song For Lewis Moody & MND Association

Northamptonshire singer-songwriter Catherine Di Mambro is using her music to raise funds for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association with her new original Christmas song, It’s Christmas Eve.
Half of the proceeds from the festive release will go to the charity, following the recent MND diagnosis of her friend Lewis Moody – the former England rugby captain and Leicester Tigers star.
Catherine, who lives near Kettering, said: “When I heard the news of Lewis’ diagnosis, I was deeply saddened.
“I wanted to create something light-hearted that could still help raise funds for this cruel disease.
“Lewis and his wife Annie have done incredible charity work, so it felt fitting to support a charity that offers similar care and research support for MND sufferers and their families.
“I wrote two songs and Lewis & Annie chose ‘It’s Christmas Eve’.”

MND is a fatal, rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord, attacking nerves that control movement.
It affects over 5,000 adults in the UK at any time, with six people dying from the disease every day.
The MND Association provides vital support, funds research, and campaigns for those living with MND.
Roger Widdecombe, Relationship Fundraiser at the charity, said: “Without our amazing supporters, we couldn’t provide essential services or fund research. Together we are making a real difference for people affected by this devastating disease.”
