Six political parties are fielding candidates in next month’s by-election in Market Harborough.
The Conservatives, Greens, Labour, Liberal Democrats, Reform UK and Social Democratic Party will contest the seat in the Logan Ward on December 18th.

The election for a place on Harborough District Council was triggered by the resignation of independent councillor Geraldine Whitmore earlier this month.
The candidates standing are:
Deborah Bennett – Labour Party
Jake Bolton – Green Party
Marion Lewis – Liberal Democrat
David Page – The Conservative Party Candidate
Barry Walton – Reform UK
Robin Lambert – Social Democratic Party
It will be the second time this year residents in Logan ward will go to the polls.
The death of long-standing councillor Barbara Johnson led to a by-election in the ward’s other seat in July, which was won by Conservative Paul Bremner.
