1st Great Glen Scouts take over HFM !

On Wednesday 19th November HFM was thrilled to welcome 1st Great Glen Scouts and their Scout Leaders on a pre-arranged visit to the Towers. They came to see how a radio station works as part of a project for their Communicator Badge  this term.

Needless to say, great fun was had by all – the scouts, their leaders and those from HFM.

The scouts recorded the weather bulletin which ran from 9pm hourly through the night on HFM.  Split into 3 groups, they visited Studio 1 where Paul Hartshorn was doing his show so were heard live on air and saw how it all works in the studio.

Off air the scouts learned more about the history of HFM and spent time listening (and singing karaoke style) to music in Studio 2. Music choices included Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Eminem, Huntr/X and some rickrolling to “Never Gonna Give You Up”!!!
