Harborough Market Showcases Stunning Poppy Appeal Display

A stunning handmade display has been unveiled at Harborough Market to mark this year’s Poppy Appeal.
It includes two life-sized soldiers made from hundreds of crocheted and knitted squares and more than 3,000 knitted poppies.

The tribute has been created by Chloe Goode from the Craft I Trims stall, with help from over 50 customers.
It also includes a dog made from knitted purple poppies, which is a symbol of remembrance for animals lost in service.

Steve Sherwood from the Market Harborough branch of the Royal British Legion told HFM he was ‘blown away’ by the display:

The Royal British Legion will also have a stall at the market selling poppies from Saturday.
