Tesco Express Cordoned Off After Burglary

Police cordoned off the Tesco Express on Rockingham Road in Market Harborough following a burglary late last night.

Three men are believed to have forced their way into the store just before midnight.

Leicestershire Police say a quantity of cash was stolen and an unsuccessful attempt was made to force open the cigarette kiosk.

The suspects left the scene in a vehicle.

The store and petrol station were closed while a forensic investigation was carried out.

Anyone with information is asked to call Leicestershire Police on 101.

A Tesco spokesperson said: “Our Market Harborough Express store is now open as usual following a short closure earlier today.

“We are sorry the inconvenience caused by the temporary closure.”
