Council Acts On Overflowing Charity Donations

Harborough District Council is working with Sainsbury’s and Oxfam to tackle an overflow of donations around charity banks in Market Harborough.
It is aiming to increase both the capacity and how often collections take place at the Sainsbury’s car park, after a build-up of items beside the containers.

HDC is reminding residents that, although well-intentioned, piles of donations can quickly become an eyesore.
