Drivers are being urged to have their say as Harborough District Council reviews its car parking strategy.
The authority is considering how it operates car parks now and into the future and has launched a public consultation.
There are no plans to increase car parking charges, however options being considered including introducing a a single tariff structure across Market Harborough – instead of the current long and short-stay tariffs – and a new one-hour stay charge.
Council-owned car parks in villages could also be offered to Parish Councils to operate.

Cllr Darren Woodiwiss, Cabinet lead for Environmental and Climate Change said: “Effective management of parking can contribute to a vibrant and sustainable local economy and car parks are often the first impression that visitors have of a town.
“We’d like to hear how people feel about our car parks, including the current tariff structure and whether we have the right approach to environmental opportunities.
“We will be installing new payment machines later this year and we hope that feedback via this consultation will help us to manage other future improvements to our car parks.”
Have your say by completing the consultation survey HERE until July 28th.
Paper copies of the survey can be collected from the council’s concierge desk at The Symington Building, Adam and Eve Street, Market Harborough.
