Harborough’s MP is accusing would-be property developers of being “opportunistic” in their proposals to build hundreds more homes in Kibworth.
Neil O’Brien has questioned Manor Oak Homes about their plan to apply for permission for a new estate of 400 houses – west of Warwick Road and south of Wistow Road.
The MP says that what is now being proposed is a very large development, clearly outside the limits to development set by the Neighbourhood plan, which was adopted by residents in January.
He also points out that the Harborough District Local Plan, which is about to come into force, makes a clear choice not to make the Kibworths the focus of development.
