Hundreds Affected By Major Water Outage

Hundreds of homes and businesses in villages near Market Harborough and in Rothwell have no water or low pressure because of a major outage.
Anglian Water says a problem with a pump has caused the issue and it hopes to have supplies restored by 8pm.
Villages including East Farndon, Great Oxendon, Maidwell, Kelmarsh, Clipston and Arthingworth are affected.

A statement on Anglian Water’s website reads: “We’re really sorry but some customers in Maidwell and surrounding areas may have either very low water pressure or no water at all.
“This is being caused by a problem with one of our pumps that push water around the network.
“We’re aiming to have everything fixed by 8:00 pm on 19 March 2025 but we’ll update this message if anything changes.”
