Arrest After Seven-Car Collision In Market Harborough

A man was arrested after a crash involving seven cars in Market Harborough.

Emergency services were called to Bath Street at 5.45pm yesterday after the driver of a blue Ford Focus collided with six cars – some of which were parked.

Two drivers suffered minor injuries and were checked-over at the scene by East Midlands Ambulance Service.

A spokesperson for Leicestershire Police told HFM: “Officers attended the scene and a 47-year-old man from Peterborough was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of drugs.

“He was taken into police custody and has since been released under investigation while enquiries are carried out.”
