Major Opposition To Revised New Homes Plan

Major opposition is mounting to revised plans to build 38 ‘affordable’ homes on the edge of the Farndon Fields estate in Market Harborough.
Over 70 people living near the proposed site off Angell Drive have lodged objections with Harborough District Council, who will consider the plan.
Concerns include traffic, increased flood risk, changes to a public footpath through the site, the loss of open space and the homes being overbearing on neighbouring residents.

Developer Owl Homes handed in revised plans which reduced the number of homes from 40 to 38, after concerns were expressed about the first proposal.
They say the homes will made available for shared ownership and social rent.
Harborough District Council is expected to make a decision on the latest planning application within three months.
