Go-Ahead For Gym’s 24/7 Opening

Owners of a new gym in Market Harborough have been given permission to operate the venue 24 hours a day.

Harborough District Council have approved plans by PureGym to open the venue on Rockingham Road round-the-clock, when it opens in March.

Work has begun to create a new gym in the former Carpetright premises

The national chain began work earlier this month to convert the former Carpetright store into the gym and will create six jobs with the opening.

Permission has also been granted for new entrance and fire doors at the premises and the installation of an air conditioning system.

A PureGym spokesperson said: “We are delighted to be bringing flexible, affordable fitness to Market Harborough and look forward to welcoming members through the doors.”

Carpetright closed last summer after the retailer went into administration.
