Fleckney Man Charged With Firearms Offence

A man from Fleckney has been charged with a firearms offence.

Police say armed officers responded to reports a member of the public had been threatened in Wellington Street, Kettering on Friday night.

No-one was injured.

The 38-year-old is accused of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and possessing a bladed article in a public place.

He is due to appear before Northampton Magistrates’ Court.
